Geranium macrorrhizum 'Ingwersen's Variety' is a cultivar of Geranium macrorrhizum, a species of hardy perennial wildflower originally native to the southeast Alps and the Balkans. The 'Ingwersen's Variety' cultivar was originally noted for its pale pink flower color, as many other colors of Geranium macrorrhizum blooms can be found in nature and in the garden.

Like other Geranium cultivars, 'Ingwersen's Variety' is low growing, typically reaching 12-18" in height, and acting as groundcover in full sun to part shade. G. macrorrhizum is extremely drought tolerant, due to its thick rhizomatic growth, and spread easily with these rhizomes. In addition, 'Ingwersen's Variety' may be prone to self-seeding, but these seeds are not necessarily true, and may produce different plants and blooms than those grown from root tissue.
