Dicentra spectabilis, a common, old fashioned garden shade loving perennial blooming in mid-late spring with nodding, puffy, heart-shaped pink flowers with protruding white petals. 'Gold Heart' is a golden - chartreuse leaved form of the traditional bleeding heart. 

Best used in in a shaded border or woodland garden. Grows 24-36" tall and 18-24" wide with a mounded growth habit.  Prefers moist, well drained, fertile soil.  Best to plant with later developing perennials such as ferns, Tiarella, or creeping phlox. Foliage goes dormant during the summer months.
