Chrysogonum virginianum 'Superstar' is a cultivar of Chrysogonum virginianum, a low-growing woodland groundcover plant also called "green and gold," for its striking colors. The 'Superstar' cultivar is noted for its more vigorous growth behavior and rounder, golden, star-like flowers.

Chrysogonum virginianum produces 6-8” tall semi-evergreen foliage and plentiful golden yellow flowers in the spring, and sporadically through the warm season afterward. Due to its spreading nature and its long-lived semi-evergreen foliage, this plant is a 'Superstar' choice for weed-blocking groundcover, and has the added benefit of being tolerant to deer foraging and foot traffic.
