‘Green Mountain’ is a hybrid boxwood cultivar noted for its attractive glossy green foliage and slow but attractive growth habit. This cultivar is best grown in part-shade and moist, well-drained loams, though ‘Green Mountain’ will tolerate any level of light; green foliage may bronze slightly in winter, especially when exposed to direct sunlight, and foliage in full shade may be less dense.

Slow-growing by nature, 'Green Mountain' may take 10 years to reach an appropriate low hedge height of two to three feet, but may eventually mature to five to seven feet tall. In the spring, 'Green Mountain' produces inconspicuous, white to green flowers that are attractive to pollinators, which adds to its hedge, border, and foundation planting appeal.
