Buxus microphylla 'Golden Dream’ is a golden variegated cultivar of Japanese boxwood with a compact, rounded growth habit that grows to around three feet tall and wide. Foliage is evergreen and, from a distance, the variegation makes appear almost lime green. 'Golden Dream' is considered the superior variegated boxwood cultivar over 'Golden Triumph' and has smaller leaves and more vivid yellow coloration. In the spring months, this Buxus cultivar produces small, white flowers which are relatively inconspicuous, but attractive to pollinators.

'Golden Dream' is a verstaile plant, with natural deer resistance, tolerance of all levels of light, and as long as it has good drainage, can adapt to a wide variety of soil types and locations including borders and beds, foundations, and even large containers.
