Aquilegia 'Winky Double Red & White' is a showy columbine cultivar that produces striking upward-facing doubled blooms of red and white multi-color petals with yellow centers. This columbine's blooming period spans 4-6 weeks from late spring to early summer, and it's known for its generous flower production and compact size, making it an excellent choice for small space gardening and larger meadows alike. 'Winky Double Red & White' makes for great cut flower arrangements too, since its showy blooms can last up to two weeks in a vase.

Growing to only 12-24" tall, this short-lived plant self-seeds to form large colonies, especially when provided with part-shade and very well-draining soils. To encourage additional blooms, prune spent flowers.
