Super Red 80 is a cool-season red cabbage variety noted for its soft, gray-green foliage that turns to beautiful shades of red and purple after the first frost, coinciding with its best flavor. Super Red 80 is also well-regarded for its good storage ability.
As per the name, matures in roughly 80 days.
Grows wider than it does tall, best planted 18-36" apart, and produces heads in the 3 to 4 pound range.
Available as CP72 plugs, rooted soil blocks 1.5" x 1.5" x 2.25" deep.
Early season plugs available the week of 3/22, late season plugs available the week of 8/5.
